There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.

My approach

As an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches in my work. These include transpersonal, Jungian, psychodynamic  and Gestalt. An integrative approach allows our work to be flexible and responsive to you as an individual, integrating mind, body, emotions and spirit into the healing process. I view difficulties not only as challenges to be overcome, but as potential gateways to meaning, wisdom, increased resilience and self-acceptance.

Our work together may involve talking, reflection, creative exploration, and embodied awareness. It may involve exploring early relationships, internalised beliefs and the parts of your that learned to survive in ways that made sense at the time, but may not be serving you as well now.

We might focus on how you experience yourself in relationship, or how patterns from the past influence the present. Sometimes we may work with dreams and images, to access more creative and intuitive forms of knowing and meaning.

I work with an intersectional awareness of power, oppression and social context, and how these forces impact our emotional life, identity, relationships and distress.

In therapy with me, you can expect curiosity, presence and engagement. I aim to support authenticity and emotional honesty by bringing these qualities into the therapeutic space myself.
